 Solar panels convert sunlight into direct current (DC)

 The charge controller regulates the voltage and current coming from the solar panels to the batteries, preventing overcharging and deep discharging.

 Batteries store the DC electricity generated by the solar panels for use when sunlight is not available, such as at night or on cloudy days.

 The off grid PV inverter converts the stored DC electricity in the batteries into alternating current (AC) electricity, which is the type of electricity used by most household appliances.
